AAHAM’s mission is to provide education, certification, networking, and advocacy for healthcare revenue cycle professionals.

 

Welcome to the National Capital Chapter of AAHAM website,

I am very excited to be writing to you for the first time as the new National Capital Chapter President. It is such an honor for me to be working with such a great group of innovative people who dedicate themselves professionally to our nation's healthcare system. I have seen many changes in healthcare over the course of my own 15 year career. Those changes have kept me motivated and passionate as I continue to dedicate my career to learning as much as I can.

We are currently updating our website to provide you with the most current information you need about our local and national AAHAM organizations. Our Board of Directors have been very busy working hard to ensure that we are providing the most updated information for you to access. By searching our website you have access to our calendar of events, Board of Directors, membership, certification information and more.

This year, we are also very excited to announce that we are working on our first Chapter newsletter which will also provide you with much needed information to keep you abreast of changes in healthcare. Highlights are to include: National Chapter updates, new membership, upcoming educational sessions, certification acknowledgements, Q&A area and other professional references and resources. We are hoping that our first edition is ready to be launched by June, 09'.

Again, I want to thank our current Board of Directors and members for their ongoing support to our Chapter and I thank you for being a guest on our website. For those of you that are not a member, I encourage you to join us so that you can stay abreast of current healthcare issues. As we all know it is forever changing. Please do not hesitate to contact us with feedback to let us know how we are doing or how we can better serve you.

And don't forget, our annual Gala is Saturday, December 6th, 2009 so contact our Social Committee for ticket information. This year's theme is "A Winter Wonderland".
